Awards Overview
Career Awards
The NSCA Board of Directors determines the recipients of these three prestigious awards, which are given annually to recognize career achievements.
Annual Awards
NSCA members are encouraged to nominate individuals for these awards, which recognize those who have made great contributions to the strength and conditioning industry.
Special Recognitions
The NSCA Special Recognition awards are given to recognize the efforts put forth by those individuals who demonstrate excellence in their field.
NSCA Fellowships
Fellows are an accomplished group of professionals whose frequent and sustained contributions to the profession have promoted the goals and activities of the NSCA. Application deadline is March 1 annually.
Fellow Emeritus
Current Fellows (FNSCA) may change their status to FNSCA*E if they are 60 years of age or older, retired or work no more than 20 hours per week as a Certified Professional, and have had 15 years of membership with the NSCA (does not have to be consecutive).

National Conference Annual Awards
These awards are presented during the Awards Banquet at National Conference. View the National Conference Annual awards: Educator of the Year, High School Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year, Personal Trainer of the Year, Nutritional Research Achievement Award, Sports Medicine/Rehabilitation Specialist Award, Terry J. Housh Outstanding Young Investigator Award, and William J. Kraemer Outstanding Sport Scientist Award.
Tactical Annual Training Annual Awards
These awards are presented during the Tactical Annual Training opening ceremony. View the Tactical Annual Training awards: Tactical Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Professional of the Year.
Coaches Conference Annual Awards
These awards are presented during the opening ceremony at Coaches Conference. View the Coaching Conference annual awards: Professional Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year, College Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year, and Assistant College Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year.
All-American Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Year
Nominations accepted throughout the month of February annually. Award certificates are mailed to the coach during April and the online listing of recipients will be posted by May. Learn more.
