Applying for CASCE Accreditation

Accreditation Application Information

Applications for CASCE accreditation will be accepted starting October 1 through December 1 each year. To ensure quality, the CASCE reserves the right to limit the number of applications in an accreditation cycle. Accreditation is a voluntary, non governmental peer review process that strives to ensure quality and accountability and encourage programmatic quality improvement. By submitting an application for CASCE accreditation, the sponsoring institution of the strength and conditioning program agrees to be assessed against the CASCE Professional Standards and Guidelines. The accredited program must demonstrate compliance with these Standards and use them as a resource for ongoing program improvement, growth and achievement.

HOW TO APPLY

We are excited about your interest in CASCE accreditation.

Step 1- Preparation

Preparation is the first step in the accreditation process. Before applying, be sure to fully review the Guide to Accreditation and understand the steps required. Gain an understanding of the Professional Standards and Guidelines so you and your institution have a clear picture of what will be required of your program and curriculum.  Finally, programs may conduct a "self-assessment" to determine readiness for application for accreditation.  Download the Self-Study Self-Assessment Tool.

Step 2- Application Submission

Applications will be accepted beginning October 1 each year.  Those who wish to begin the program application process will need to download, follow the directions within the application and submit a completed Accreditation Application Form via email (digital signatures accepted).  This helps CASCE confirm that your program has the required foundational pieces in place and verifies that your organization intends to move forward in the accreditation process.  The completed form may be submitted email to accreditation@nsca.com.

Note:  The receipt of an application does not indicate nor infer that the program is accredited.

Step 3- Application Review

CASCE staff will conduct a preliminary review to ensure the application conforms to the guidelines.  Typically this step take up to 30 days to complete.

Step 4- Application Fee

Following preliminary staff review, the program will receive an invoice for the application fee (sent to the program Director email address indicated on the application).  Instructions on submitting the fee will be provided by staff.  The application fee must be received in order to proceed with the next steps for accreditation.

Programs currently recognized through the NSCA Education Recognition Program (ERP) will be required to pay a non-refundable $500 application fee.  Programs that are not ERP recognized are required to pay a non-refundable $1000 application fee.

Once you’re ready to begin, download and fill out the application, and submit to CASCE at accreditation@nsca.com. Once your application is received, your program will be invoiced for your application fee.

Step 5- Accreditation Portal Access

CASCE has launched an accreditation management system.  Once the application fee is confirmed, the CASCE staff will open the Accreditation Portal site for the program and will email unique login information to the Program Director.  The Program will be able to add other users as desired to begin the self-study process.
